The big-house-loop works well for training also.

Peter -

That is definitely a route we will use.  I don't think I could do the same 5 mile loop every week without losing my mind.  We will also use Progress between Keough and Shelby (going South up the incline of course!) for some good interval training.

The Marx-Bensdorf guys do the progress rd loop near the square in Collierville, it's got a little hill that gets up to 5% and it gets your attention.  The loop includes Keough rd and mt pleasant.  Just a suggestion.

After the “Intro to Racing” it was discussed that the group needs to try an meet more frequently to ride together and learn everyone’s strengths and weakness. A route similar to the Long Road Loop seems to be ideal. The thought was to offer this on a day that would not impact other MHBC Weekly Rides. One thought would be to have the ride take place on a Wednesday Evening at 6:00pm twice a month. This loop would allow for dropped riders to continue riding the loop and meet back with the lead group. Furthest distance from your car is 2.5 Miles. A loop also allows people to start earlier or later.

We ask that a Ride Coordinator and ride leaders volunteer to introduce the ride before it rolls out. . It is an "A" Ride, but some "B" Riders may show up from time to time. They need to know what the plan is and the route. No Sweeping Needed, unless you want to do a quick drive around the course after the ride to make sure everyone is done

Possible Starting Points
-Sycamore Elementary School (Full Sun)
-Emmanuel Baptist Church (Partially Shaded) Not sure how full their parking lot gets on Wednesday Nights.

I give you the Quinn Spin.

The Following would apply.
Level – Advanced
Category –A
Average Cruising Speeds on Flats – 22-24mph (maybe Fast at some points)
End of Ride average Speed – 18-20mph

There is also an option that can be incorporated into the ride.
Quinn Spin with some Wingo Spingo. This can be done on the 3rd lap and give people a more steady pace for a longer peiod of time.
