Hey Soiree rider (or at least interested forum member),

We are about to get into the real ride season. I know, with the temps as they've been lately, we probably all feel like the season has already started, but once the time change hits, the days will be longer and more of us will be looking for rides to put into our weekly ride schedules.

The Soiree has had a bit of a checkered past the last year or two with folks unable to find a group speed dynamic that matched their fitness level. We are going to do our best to fix that this year. However, we need your help. We need 3-4 (or more) folks who would be willing to be a ride leader for a B group (15-16 mph average) and another 3-4 folks who would be willing to lead a C group (13-14). Each leader would take one ride per month to serve the group as a leader. Each leader would also ideally be a rider who would be riding "below" their own normal speed,. They would keep the group together and be sure to ride the posted speed average.

We are having a Ride Leader Training class fairly soon (date has not been firmed up yet). If you are interested in being a ride leader for one of these groups, let me know, and we will get you into the Ride Leader Training. The training will take place one Saturday morning for a couple hours, so no worries there. We will make sure you know what you're signing up for and how to manage the ride. Plus, there will be some club recognition later on in the season for all of our ride leaders!

Interested?? Your Hightailers need YOU!! Would you step up for one ride a month to make our club ride attractive to more folks? Let me know!
