This is a great multi-day cycle even in the Austin, Texas area. The 2009 dates are tMarch 21st through 28t. Based in Fredricksburg, TX. Check out website: search Hellweek. There is plenty of routes and lengths of routes available. RUSA and UMCA creditt on several qualified routes. All rides based at motel in Fredricksburg. This would be a great opportunity to challenge oneself on a multi-day event. Non-competitive in nature, that is not a race for overall standings etc. Nearby hotels, restaurants etc. Some routes offer sag support, but self sufficiency is encouraged. Check it out! A group of Memphis area riders would be cool. A rider could do all or part of the offerings.
I also might mention the Rainstrom ride. This is a multiday fully supported ride in July in Indiana. Rainstorm.com.
